Who we are

Causal Capital Pte Ltd (“Causal Capital”, “we”, “us”) is a training and consulting company registered in Singapore, delivering risk management, audit and trading programmes to financial institutions, energy and manufacturing companies across Asia-Pacific, the Gulf and Europe.

We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. Our registered office is 1 North Bridge Road, #07-10, High Street Centre, Singapore 179094.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to causalcapital.org and to personal information we handle when you enquire about, register for or attend one of our programmes, or when we provide consulting and advisory services.

It does not cover other websites we link to, including CLP.LIFE, our training portals, or third-party platforms such as Stripe, each of which operates under its own privacy policy.

Information we collect

Enquiries. When you email us from this site we receive your name, email address, and anything else you choose to tell us — typically your organisation, role and what you are trying to achieve.
Course registrations. Delegate name, job title, organisation, email address and contact number, and any dietary or accessibility requirements you share for in-person delivery.
Payments. Card payments are taken by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the amount and the purchaser's name and email. We never see or store your full card number.
Certification. Where you take a certified programme, we hold attendance and assessment records needed to issue LSBF certification and NASBA CPE credits.
Marketing. If you subscribe, or if we have an existing business relationship with you, we hold your contact details and records of which emails you opened or clicked.
Consulting engagements. Contact details for the people we work with at client organisations, and whatever information is shared with us in the course of the work.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. We do not profile visitors or track you across other sites.

The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. If you would rather avoid this, most browsers and privacy extensions can block it without breaking the site.

Why we use your information, and our legal basis

To answer your enquiry and deliver training or consulting you have asked for — because it is necessary to perform a contract with you, or to take steps before entering one.
To issue certificates and CPE credits — to perform our contract with you, and to meet the conditions of our NASBA registration and LSBF accreditation.
To take payment and keep accounting records — to perform our contract, and to meet legal and tax obligations.
To send marketing about our programmes — with your consent, or on the basis of our legitimate interest in contacting professionals at organisations we already work with. You can opt out at any time, in every email we send and by writing to us.
To run and improve our business — our legitimate interest in understanding which programmes are in demand and improving what we deliver.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf:

Stripe — payment processing
SendGrid — sending course and marketing email
Google Workspace — our email and documents
Railway — hosting for this website
London School of Business & Finance — where you opt into LSBF certification, so your certificate can be issued

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to establish or defend legal claims. If our business is ever restructured or transferred, information may pass to the acquiring entity under the same protections set out here.

International transfers

We operate across Asia-Pacific, the Gulf and Europe, and our service providers are largely based in the United States and the European Union. Your information will therefore be transferred outside your home country, including outside the European Economic Area.

Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or the United Kingdom, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision. Where we deliver training in the Gulf states, local data protection law may also apply to that engagement, and we will comply with it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to business — up to two years, then deleted.
Delegate and certification records — retained while your certification remains current and for as long as you may need us to verify it, and in any case for at least the period NASBA requires of registered sponsors.
Accounting and payment records — for the period required by Singapore tax and company law.
Marketing contacts — until you unsubscribe, or after a prolonged period with no engagement.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy
have inaccurate information corrected
ask us to delete information we no longer need
object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
receive your information in a portable format
withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To exercise any of these, email info@causalcapital.org. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and you think we have handled your information badly, you may complain to your national data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Security

This site is served only over an encrypted connection. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe and card details never reach our systems. Access to delegate and client information is limited to the people who need it, and our team is small enough that this is a short list.

No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us before it reaches us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Where a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you directly.
